Hiya! My name is Ivan. I’m an avid language learner who absolutely loves teaching. I’ve been teaching English for the past two years, delivering tailored one-to-one and group classes.
Last year, I successfully obtained the Cambridge Advanced Exam (CAE) and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate. I know the drill! =))
Recently, I've been mainly working with high-level learners (B2–C1) who are eager to push their English to the next level (C1/C1+), but I have vast experience with all levels, A1 to C2.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
My classes are not a classical instruction: they are centred on you, your feelings and thoughts. I want you to make English a part of your life, not something that you are forced to study.

As I mentioned, my classes are built on the dogmas of the lexical approach. That is, the approach to teaching grammar and vocabulary is not the one that you are used to.
When it comes to grammar, not only do we study rules, but we also learn the ways that native speakers usually use them. These set phrases are called chunks, pieces of language. That enables you to start using them right off the bat.
As for vocabulary, we apply the same 'chunks' approach here. We don't study single words, yet we learn entire phrases. For example, instead of learning the word 'catchy', we learn 'a catchy tune' or 'a catchy slogan'. This way words have more context to them, so it's easier to start using them.Öğretim materyallerim
