Hello, my name is Marie and I am a certified GFL teacher from western Germany. Languages are my passion and I love discovering new languages and teaching others about the special features of my own language. I have several years of experience teaching German at universities in Japan. I obtained my certificate as a German lecturer in 2019. In my lessons, I strive to teach the structure of the German language in an intuitive and lively way, filling grammar units with more accessible language, dialogue, and story-oriented exercises. I also find it particularly important to practice “free conversation.” So let’s begin—wherever your beginning may be—and enjoy it.

Marie is a really good teacher. She has been teaching me German from scratch and is very patient. She explains the language well as well as the German culture. I get homework which helps me to practice more. She also answers my questions about it. I had to buy two textbooks separately which I was glad to do because I want to really learn the language. She also gives good feedback and resources. I highly recommend her!
