I’m Ruko, a Japanese teacher from Japan.
I have over 25 years of teaching experience, and I specialize in helping beginners feel comfortable and confident from their very first lesson.
My lessons are clear, practical, and enjoyable, and I always adjust them to each student’s level and goals.
I also support intermediate and advanced learners who want to improve their Japanese more naturally.

.I discovered the joy of the Japanese language while living in Sydney.
After returning to Japan, I began my teaching career at a Japanese language school, where I taught group classes in daily conversation, business Japanese, and JLPT preparation.
I later taught at an American school on a U.S. military base, gaining experience working with learners from diverse cultural backgrounds.
For the past 20 years, I have worked as a freelance Japanese teacher, providing private lessons to business professionals and traveling to various companies to support their communication needs.

My first year of Japanese study comes to an end. Thanks to Ruko sensei's help, I have a much better grasp of Japanese grammar than I could dream of. I truly appreciate our lessons. We'll continue after Christmas holiday.
