Airi was very patient in helping me through our conversation despite my having never spoken with anyone in Japanese before. She helped me to understand where I made mistakes and also provided me with the Kanji for her sentences when I needed help understanding, tailoring the lesson to my stronger reading skills when my listening skills failed. She also was able to communicate the meaning of words and sentences in excellent English when I was unable to understand the written words, helping me to understand better what she was saying and also helping to verify the meaning of my own sentences.

After a few months of lessons, I really feel like I'm improving thanks to Airi's lessons. Airi's teaching style is very patient as she is willing to wait for me to form a sentence without trying to finish it for me, then offers me any corrections after I have finished. The lessons are fun and I enjoy getting to have real conversations in Japanese as opposed to contrived text book dialogues. Airi also puts a lot of effort into her lessons, remembering things we discussed from previous lessons and sometimes making presentations to teach about interesting topics. Overall, Airi is a great teacher and will definitely help you improve your speaking and listening skills!
