I learned how to say teachers day in Chinese and I learned that teachers Day in Taiwan is the birthday of Confucius. I love getting to know Taiwan’s culture with Patty. She’s very patient and has a passion for teaching. And what she prepares for the class is amazing. 🫰🏻

Patty is a great teacher! She’s very prepared, encouraging, and makes learning Mandarin feel much more approachable.

I have a sweet tooth, so it was really fun discussing how sweetness is perceived differently in two places, Brazil and Taiwan. I didn't know that Tainan is famous for having the sweetest food in Taiwan, so I feel like I killed two birds with one stone today; to learn about two different cultures at once! Also, Patty is really good at choosing articles that allow for nuanced discussions. It brings out her witty and thoughtful side, which makes the lessons even more enjoyable.

I've really enjoyed learning Chinese with Patty. She is calm and patient, which creates a relaxed learning environment where I feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. At the same time, she is always well prepared and brings useful learning materials to each lesson. Her structured yet flexible approach really helps me stay motivated, and I can feel that I’m making meaningful progress every week. I highly recommend her to anyone serious about improving their Chinese!
