Misako has the rare talent to know exactly what level you are and what could be beneficial for you to learn now. So the new material is always accessible and make you progress. I highly recommend Misako and her friendly lessons.

I've been taking weekly lessons with Misako-sensei and she is honestly one of the best teachers I have met on iTalki! Her strength is in teaching you tons of natural/useful phrases and correcting mistakes (which some teachers may be less comfortable doing since they feel it's impolite). For some reason, her explanations and speaking pace just make things so easy to understand and remember. She also sends the most detailed lesson notes of any teacher I've had, which are super useful for reviewing/recall. If you are serious about accelerating your time to fluency, I recommend learning from Misako-sensei!

Misako has been great to work with, both for learning grammar/vocabulary and for practicing speaking/listening. Thanks to her patience and the relaxed atmosphere, my comfort in at least attempting Japanese speech has improved noticeably. The feedback for grammar and for naturalness have also been great for improving my absorption of Japanese beyond just memorizing lists of particles and tenses. Each week I look forward to seeing how much my speech and listening improves!

Misako is very patient and supportive of your language learning, I have learned more with my short time under her tutelage than other teachers I have had. Her camera and microphone quality is good, there are no connection issues, she has always been on time and prepared material for the next lesson. She answers questions I have and helps me to learn how to discuss my interests in Japanese preparing me for conversing with others. She has also made several lessons fun and engaging one of which used a topic I was interested in as a means of learning the vocabulary I was studying. As a beginner I heavily recommend Misako sensei if you are just starting out like me, but I have confidence she will be good for all levels.

Misako is a great conversationalist! Her lessons are always relaxed and enjoyable, and she makes sure to correct your mistakes when you say something wrong. Her English explanations (if you need them) are very clear. I'd definitely recommend her for beginners or any intermediate learners looking to practise their speaking :)

These conversation lessons are the best Japanese lessons I’ve ever had. Misako sensei explains concepts very well, with easy to understand examples so you can see how the new words or new grammar is used. She is patient, kind, and helpful when I’m struggling to express what I want to say. Which makes the student want to try harder. Her PDF transcripts after each lesson are great for me to review what we discussed and keeps the new concepts organized. I highly recommend her lessons to anyone who wants to learn or improve their Japanese.
