Hello! I’m Atsuko. I was born in Tokyo and grew up in Kanagawa, Japan.
I have experience teaching English to children and lived in Canada for three years.
These experiences help me explain Japanese clearly in English.
I love learning languages myself, so I understand how challenging—and fun—it can be to learn a new one.
I also enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures, and I’ve visited 14 countries so far.
I’d be happy to talk not only about Japanese language and culture, but also about your country.
Even small steps every day can lead to big progress.
Let’s enjoy learning Japanese together! 🌸
I’m looking forward to meeting you! 😊

I use visually rich slides with many illustrations to make lessons easy to understand.
I always try to create a relaxed and comfortable learning environment, so beginners do not feel that Japanese is difficult.
Even if you are completely new to Japanese, you don’t need to worry. I teach slowly, step by step, in a relaxed and supportive way.

Derslerim ve öğretme tarzım
① Beginners (using GENKI):
I use slides with examples, illustrations, and photos to explain grammar and conversation clearly. Lessons are fun and easy to follow, building a solid foundation step by step.
② Travelers to Japan (using Nihongo Fun & Easy):
I focus on practical expressions for daily life, cultural tips, and things to be careful about. Slides and visuals make learning clear and memorable, helping learners gain confidence in real-life situations.
③ Intermediate & Advanced Learners:
Let’s enjoy free conversation in Japanese! Don’t worry about mistakes. I gently correct errors and teach natural expressions to help you speak more fluently.

It was a very enjoyable lesson. Every sessions, we do role playing. Last time I learned how to say "do you have a smaller o r bigger umbrella ? and this time it was at the restaurant. So Sue-san said in japanese "are you ready to order? " And I had to place my order. It was really fun as usual. Thank you very much Sue-San!
