I’m Hide, a native Japanese teacher born and raised in Tokyo. <Business Japanese Specialist + Cross-Cultural Communication Expert> With over 35 years of experience in the banking and finance industry, I teach practical Japanese you can actually use in professional settings. I can help you navigate the unspoken rules of working in a Japanese company. <A learner-centered approach shaped by life in 3 countries> Having lived in Brazil, Belgium, and Thailand, I understand firsthand how challenging learning a new language can be. I’m a certified native Japanese teacher. In 2024, Japan introduced a new national certification called the Nationally Registered Japanese Language Teacher, and I’m proud to have earned this qualification. Teaching Japanese language and culture is my passion, and I’d be happy to support you in every step of your learning journey. I strive to make each lesson enjoyable and meaningful, so you can truly have fun while learning Japanese. If you make mistakes or can’t find the right words or expressions, don’t worry—I’m here to help!
