I am the son of a journalist and a librarian. This means I was raised with a passion for both discovering new information and helping others find material that is useful and interesting.
I have more than ten years of professional writing and editing experience and hosted a weekly radio show for ten years. This means I can help you make both your written and spoken English sound more accurate and natural.
I spent 15 years in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. and now live in Guadalajara, Mexico. I love music, comedy, and being in nature. I also love learning languages and sharing strange and interesting stories from real life.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
I’m a professional English teacher (CELTA certified), language coach, writing tutor, and conversation partner at the same time.
I have taught more than 3,000 classes on italki. My students inspire me to constantly improve as a teacher and learn more about different cultures, languages, and professions.
Becoming “fluent” in a language is a lifelong process. I want to encourage you to enjoy the journey of learning English. It’s a strange and frustrating language, but if you’re focused on topics that you’re passionate about, the process can be much more enjoyable.

Your goals will determine what our classes look like. More than anything, I want to make sure you have tools to use your skills more confidently in your real life.
I will keep an updated document of words and phrases we learned in class and share it with you after our class. We will use materials that are both relevant and interesting.
I recommend recording our classes and watching the video later. It’s a great way to notice your own strengths and weaknesses, especially if you want to improve your speaking and listening.
