Hello, my name is Jihyun Kim, and I'm a native Korean speaker. I currently live in the United States, and I also had the amazing opportunity to live in Vietnam for four years. These experiences have given me a great understanding of different cultures and the challenges of learning a new language. I have a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in art psychotherapy. I worked as a programmer for about 10 years and have been a professional psychotherapist for over 10 years. In my free time, I love doing yoga, and I make it a point to read a book every day. Since moving to the U.S., I haven't been able to travel as much, but I'm always looking forward to my next adventure.

As a teacher, my philosophy is that language learning should be an enjoyable and comfortable experience. I deeply understand the difficulties and frustrations of learning a new language, especially the feeling of being stuck and not seeing clear progress. That's why I want to help you find topics you are truly passionate about, so you can study Korean consistently without getting tired. As a professional psychotherapist for over 10 years, I also serve as a mentor and life coach for adults in their 20s and 30s, helping them clarify their career paths and future goals. I believe that language learning is a personal journey, and I want to be your dedicated coach throughout the process.

My lessons focus on conversational Korean for intermediate to advanced learners who want to speak more naturally. We'll talk about fun topics like K-pop, K-drama, and Korean travel to expand your vocabulary and improve your fluency. Thanks to my professional background, I also offer specialized lessons. If you're interested in IT, technology, or psychology, I can teach you the specific terminology and expressions used in those fields in Korea. I'm ready to help you on your Korean language journey, whatever your goals may be. Let's start with a trial lesson and find your perfect learning path together!
