I have been teaching happily for the past 20 years in government, international schools and online here on Italki. My ultimate goal is for you to reach your full potential as a language learner and for you to leave each class with a satisfied 🌃 afterglow. When you feel inspired and helped, I’m all smiles- do you know that's what makes my day too? I am interested in what my students have to say. I enjoy one-to-one communication. I want to help you achieve your learning goals with lessons catered to your needs. I am relaxed and down to 🌱 earth. I am inspired by your enthusiasm as a student, who despite your busy schedule, still make language learning a priority in your daily life. You have a unique learning style. Once we brainstorm an enjoyable study plan and routine, my students will progress towards their goals with confidence and an understanding of the subtle nuances of the language. That way, they become fluent speakers who are culturally aware and enriched. If speaking practice is what you’re looking for with a sizzle of oomph🪄 in your vocabulary, I'm here. Plus, if you want explanations for advanced grammar or if you just want to discover joyful, creative ways to learn, I'll be delighted to be your teacher. Mrs Malay is warm, supportive and energising – I think any student with her as a teacher will go a long way just from the sheer motivation she provides. She knows her stuff as well, eg the cross-cultural etymology of Malay words. She clearly has a vast quantity of material (which she hand makes herself as well). It was really fun speaking with her about the Malay already present in Singlish, and learning new Malay words from her.
