Conor

Today was my first lesson/ conversation practice with Conor, who is new on iTalki. I was extremely pleased and impressed, and I hope to take many more lessons and do a lot more conversation practice with him. He is a native Irish speaker from Conemara, but nevertheless he spoke clearly and at a pace that I could easily understand. He was very patient with my American accented Irish, and his comments gave me confidence. He is a very kind person and also an interesting person to converse with. I felt very comfortable speaking Irish with him, and I'm certain that continuing to study and practice with him will improve my Irish greatly. I highly recommend him!

Conor is a great teacher! He is super encouraging and kind and takes the time to make sure you understand the lesson. He provides helpful examples and context to facilitate learning.

Conor is a very flexible teacher, willing to customize lessons to his students' goals. I am an adult beginner student without a lot of time for homework, but the conversation practice is great - not only for me to pick up vocabulary and grammar, but most importantly for practice on comphrehension of spoken Irish. My goals are to eventually become conversational rather than achieving a particular academic ability in the language. Conor provides suggestions for practice outside of lessons and also recomends other materials I can check out - music, film, etc. - which I enjoy. He is laid back during lessons but keeps us on task, allowing the coversation to roam to anything I want to discuss and adapting the Irish lesson for that day to the subject. Highly recommended.

Great teaching style. Very patient and helpful. A very enjoyable lesson.

I have worked with Conor for about a dozen sessions. I'm a Gaeilge beginner with no previous speaking exposure. Conor's the best! Very calm, helpful, knowledgeable, personable. Always on time, doesn't rush to finish. He's made me more comfortable speaking as Gaeilge; he's improved my listening comprehension. I highly recommend him!

A great lesson again from Conor. I've completed a few lessons with Conor, and I must say that I find him to be very helpful and very patient. When I make mistakes, he helps me along the way and adds a lot of clarity. My conversation skills are improving with each lesson, and I look forward to my lessons with Conor in the future.
