Meu nome é Layon, sou brasileiro e falante nativo do português. Espero poder ajudar pessoas a entenderem o português e melhorarem sua pronúncia e compreensão das expressões do português brasileiro. Busco dar aulas de conversação em que, ao mesmo tempo em que trabalho o idioma, abordo temas culturais e informações relevantes sobre o país. Dessa forma, o aluno se torna não apenas um falante melhor, mas também alguém mais preparado para as interações sociais em que vai usar o idioma. My name is Layon, I’m Brazilian and a native Portuguese speaker. I hope to help people understand Portuguese and improve their pronunciation and understanding of Brazilian Portuguese expressions. Já fui tutor em instituições de cursos profissionalizantes. I have worked as a tutor in vocational training institutions. Busco dar aulas de conversação em que, ao mesmo tempo em que trabalho o idioma, abordo temas culturais e informações relevantes sobre o país. Dessa forma, o aluno se torna não apenas um falante melhor, mas também alguém mais preparado para as interações sociais em que vai usar o idioma. I aim to offer conversation classes where I not only work on the language itself, but also explore cultural topics and relevant information about the country. This way, the student becomes not only a better speaker, but also someone more prepared for the social interactions in which they will use the language.

This was the best class that I’ve had in a long time!!!! I’ve been on this platform for almost 9 months and I feel that Layon is one of the only teachers who isn’t afraid to challenge my opinions and to share his opinions constructively. It’s hard to find this type of situation and I’m so thankful to have a class where I can practice Portugues and have my opinions and thoughts challenged. Super class with a super teacher!

Another great weekend of classes with Layon who is a super teacher! He always has a different perspective to share and gives great insights on his experiences with respect to Brazilian society and culture. I’m already excited about our classes scheduled for next weekend !

Another great class with Layon! The class was so much more than just a português lesson! Layon is willing to share about any topic as it pertains to Brasil which really gives great insight into certain matters. We already have a topic chosen for next class and I can’t wait to get Back to the discussion table!!
