I was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, and I am currently living in the U.S. Last year, I taught Korean to Korean American college students, which became one of my most valuable experiences after immigrating to another country. It was a great joy to share my language, culture, and history with learners who were eager to learn. I worked as an English teacher at a private secondary school in South Korea for 15 years. Language teaching is both my calling and my profession. I know how to design engaging lessons, explain concepts clearly, and adapt my teaching to different learning styles and goals. As a native Korean, I bring a deep understanding of the culture, history, and context behind the language. Most of all, I love learning and connecting with people. My teaching philosophy is learner-centered. I value each learner’s needs, feelings, and goals. As a former language teacher, my teaching style is both organized and flexible. I provide appropriate assignments and feedback that help students apply the language functions they learn in class.
