I'd been nervous about having lessons for months now, but now that I have a Japan trip coming up in 6 months, I finally decided to try. I've been learning for close to 4 years, but while my listening and reading is okay I hadn't done very much practice with speaking and coming up with my own sentences, so I wanted to improve ready for the trip. I've just had a trial lesson with Yukari sensei and she was wonderful! I did forget a lot of things that I initially wanted to say when introducing myself, but she was very patient and very kind. She prepared a lesson with flashcards and videos which was fun! We also did a little bit of role-play at the end which I did find a bit difficult because I could understand but just couldn't think how to respond. I still enjoyed it though, and I'm sure this will get easier over time. I've booked more lessons with her already, and I'm already looking forward to the next one! ありがとうございました、ゆかり先生！！

Yukari was brilliant. I loved the first lesson, she was very patient and supportive. Her lesson plan was great too, testing memory with active re-call and repetition. I look forward to the next lesson. Thank you :)
