Hello! I’m Mie, a professional Japanese teacher living in a city with a view of Mt. Fuji 🗻
After 22 years in the hotel industry, I now teach Japanese and manners with the same spirit of hospitality. My lessons focus on practical Japanese — travel, conversation, and customer service — that you can use right away.
🎯 Lesson focus:
JLPT N4, N3, N2 & conversation practice
Travel Japanese and daily communication
Speaking-based grammar training (no silent note-taking!)
I believe language is for speaking and connecting, not just for reading or memorizing.
Each student has their own pace — my role is to find it with you and make le
Öğretmen Olarak Ben
Most of my students are A2–C1 learners, especially those preparing for JLPT N3 and N2.
I teach every day at both a language school and a training center, so I’m used to helping learners start speaking Japanese with confidence.
In my class, mistakes are not a problem — they’re proof that you’re learning.
You make mistakes, you get better. That’s how language really grows.
I’m also a language learner, so I understand both the frustration and the joy of studying step by step.
That’s why I always update my lessons, try new ideas, and focus on what truly helps my students.
My English isn’t perfect, so sometimes I’ll ask you to type what you want to say in the chat.
Let’s grow together 😄
Derslerim ve öğretme tarzım
Instead of sticking to textbooks, I use original PowerPoint slides based on Minna no Nihongo or GENKI, combined with real-life examples.
💬 Class style:
Lots of speaking: “Repeat after me!” “Say that again!”
Grammar through conversation
Vocabulary in context, not just memorized lists
Occasional worksheets for review
You don’t become fluent by reading — you become fluent by talking.
So, my class is never silent. Mistakes are welcome, laughter is natural, and progress happens through real communication.
Let’s enjoy learning Japanese, one word at a time 🌸

We had such a good lesson today. We covered grammar and positional words for places in dialogue, and it started to click. I stumbled a lot and took a long time reading the characters, so thank you so much for Mie-sensei’s patience with me!
Im currently taking the lessons for travelling with Mie and I love her teaching style! Mie is super patient and has put together great material to assist when moving through lessons!! ありがとうございます!

I had a very engaging lesson with Mie sensei today. We reviewed many basic characters, and she was very patient and supportive as I practised writing. In the second half of the lesson, we covered います, あります, ばしょのぶんぽう, and かいわ. I also like that each lesson includes plenty of new vocabulary, I had fun learning them.
