Hello, I’m Won, a Korean language teacher and native Korean speaker. I speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and I genuinely enjoy the process of learning new languages. I am currently studying French so I can continue seeing language learning from a student’s perspective. I lived in Brazil for about eight years, starting Portuguese from zero and eventually using it comfortably in both daily life and work. Through this experience, I gained a deep understanding of the challenges, frustration, and growth that come with learning a new language. I believe confidence matters more than perfection, and I aim to create a relaxed space where students can use Korean comfortably.

I am a Korean teacher who explains Korean from a learner’s perspective. After learning Portuguese from the beginner level while living in Brazil, I understand the challenges of grammar, pronunciation, word order, and nuances. I speak English, Portuguese, and Spanish, which allows me to explain Korean clearly to learners from different language backgrounds. I believe language and culture are inseparable, so I teach not only expressions but also their cultural context and appropriate usage. My lessons focus on understanding rather than memorization, encouraging students to speak in a relaxed environment, build confidence, and use Korean naturally through practice and mistakes.

For beginners, I focus on pronunciation and basic sentence structures, helping them become comfortable with Korean sounds step by step. For learners aiming to improve conversation skills, I prioritize natural, everyday expressions rather than textbook-style language. Grammar is explained in a simple and clear way, and students immediately practice using what they learn through repetition and application. I actively encourage speaking during lessons and provide immediate feedback to help students sound more natural. My goal is to create lessons that feel enjoyable and motivating.
