My name is Peter and I come from the oldest city in Europe: Plovdiv. After I graduated from a prestigious linguistic high school in Bulgaria, I moved to Canada, where I continued studying languages and language teaching methods in my BA, MA, and PhD. In my lessons, I integrate all five language skills—listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture—and I advocate for a sixth skill: strategy awareness. My eclectic approach, informed by my PhD in Applied Linguistics, allows me to adapt to each student's individual needs. Knowing seven languages helps me connect with learners and leverage their existing knowledge.
