Hello! I'm James, a friendly and patient TEFL qualified teacher from Scotland, in the UK. I have over 7 years experience teaching online and in classrooms in Spain and Vietnam. I currently live in the Spanish countryside. I'm also a writer and musician and have travelled to many different places, all over the world. I have years of experience online and in schools teaching IELTS preparation and Cambridge exams. If you are preparing for an exam, I can help you. We will practice all parts of the exam and learn important techniques for achieving the best results.

I believe in the immersive learning. In our lessons I will give you the maximum possible amount of opportunities to speak English, having interesting and fun conversations while learning new vocabulary and grammar.
I will adapt our classes to your needs. I often use clips from BBC Radio programmes, which allow you to practice listening to native speakers and discuss a wide range of topics. I also have grammar material to help you learn the more technical parts of the language. During the lesson, I will send corrections and examples, so that you have them to practice after the lesson.
