Hi! My name is Abby and I'm from the USA. I am a TEFL-certified English teacher. I learned Spanish to fluency and for many years worked as a Spanish-English certified medical interpreter. I also am learning levantine Arabic which I speak at a conversational level. I love learning and teaching languages as I see language learning as a powerful tool for connection, empowerment, and deeper exploration of both ourselves and the world around us.
I am also very passionate about spirituality, yoga, plant medicine, meditation, shamanism, and ancestral healing practices — and I love talking about and merging language-learning or translation and interpretation in these fields =)Öğretmen Olarak Ben
Using what I have learned through the TEFL certification along with years of personal language learning experience, I’ve developed a unique, personalized program where I take the topics you’re most passionate about, or most curious to explore, and design an immersive experience around them. Your lesson plans and personalized homework will integrate reading, speaking, listening, and audio practices tailored to your interests. This makes learning feel more relevant and connected to your purpose for learning. As a language learner myself, I can guide you in how to keep progressing independently. Outside of our live lessons, I dedicate time to supporting your progress. I keep a personal dictionary for each student, track the words and expressions we’ve learned together, and use that to create custom homework, audio recordings, and a flexible study plan you can follow between sessions. If it helps, I would be happy to be your accountability partner —to cheer you on, provide structure when helpful, and help you stay consistent.
