Laure

J'ai de la chance d'avoir préparé le DALF C1 avec Laure. Nous avons travaillé ensemble surtout sur la production orale à la base des thèmes proposés par Laure. Elle est une professeur expérimentée et patiente qui m'écoutait toujours attentivement et m'aidait à améliorer mes expressions et mes arguments. Grâce à Laure, j'ai de plus en plus de courage à m'exprimer en français et je me sens plus à l'aise. Je vous recommande d'essayer aussi des scéances avec elle. Vous ne serez pas déçu !

Laure offers her wealth of learning resources and works out learning opportunities that are individualized. We learners often struggle with progression assessment (think of the dreaded intermediate plateau). Cycle the different exercises that emphasize your skill set does that in the most natural way. Have I reached my goals? That actually is the wrong question. I have managed to progress and feel more confident with an understanding that you never stop learning. I did not grow up in a francophone culture, therefore my enjoyment of the language comes in dollops of improvement (really cool discoveries).

Laure is a great tutor! She does an excellent job explaining the grammar/vocabulary and keeps the lessons entirely in French even when walking me through words I don't understand. Like most, my weakness is primarily in listening and speaking skills. She is encouraging and gives me opportunities to work through French on my own before jumping in to help. She is cognizant of her pace of speaking and adapts to what I can understand. She also continually pushes the limit of my knowledge and understanding to offer that challenge that you need in order to quickly/effectively learn a language. But she does not take it to a point of being discouraging or where I feel like I'm lost, which I really appreciate. I'm so confident she's a good fit for me that I'm scheduling lessons weeks out!
