Hello! My name is Josh and I'm a native English speaker from Cambridge in the United Kingdom. I've been working as an English teacher since 2017 and I'm passionate about language learning and teaching. Travelling is very important to me and I really enjoy visiting different places around the world, whilst meeting new people along the way.
Over the years, I've been able to learn about many cultures and I feel that I've benefitted from this because it's helped me to become a more considerate and open-minded person. In my opinion, this is a great strength when teaching English as a second language.

I'm a disciplined teacher with a strong attention to detail. My belief is that everyone has the potential to improve and I aim to help my students reach their goals by being both positive and supportive at all times, throughout the language learning process.

To help you build confidence and improve your proficiency, our focus will be on improving your English skills through natural conversation. Additionally, we can use news articles, stories, other texts and videos to support your learning.
As for my teaching style, I'll ensure that you feel relaxed by being encouraging. I'll also focus on helping you to correct your mistakes and speak English in a way that's similar to a native speaker, which will improve the quality of your English communication! Josh is a great teacher. He is very patient and helps when you need it and can't get any further. Mistakes are pointed out in a friendly manner and he always writes the correction in the chat and explains it.

Very friendly and patient. The trial lesson was very pleasant. It was helpful for me that Josh also speaks/understands German, so he was able to help me when I got stuck with my vocabulary.
