Ruka Chang

Great first lesson with Ruka! She was prepared with materials yet also was flexible to what I was interested in and my learning goals. She did a great job providing engaging content, offering corrections, and discussing how I'd like future lessons to proceed.

Ruka 每一節課都會準備很多有趣的話題 可以一邊練習口語一邊學到很多新的詞彙和新的資訊（例如台灣/美國文化區別）。有任何問題的話 她會很耐心的去幫你解釋、找例子、等等。謝謝老師🙏 Ruka always comes prepared with many interesting topics. I get to practice my speaking abilities, as well as improve my vocabulary and learn new things (e.g., cultural differences between Taiwan and America). Any questions I have, Ruka is always patient and takes the appropriate amount of time to explain words/concepts, give examples, etc. Thanks, Ruka!

I've been taking conversation lessons with Ruka for more than a year to keep my Mandarin activated & we still haven't run out of topics to chat about 😊 Ruka often goes the extra mile & prepares material about cultural things or current news according to my interests & she's always very caring & encouraging, but also professional & reliable 💖

I had an excellent first lesson with Ruka! She was well-prepared with engaging materials and was very flexible in adapting to my interests and learning goals. Ruka's energy and passion for teaching Chinese are evident, and she creates a supportive environment with constant positive feedback and small wins throughout the lesson. The session was intense yet enjoyable, making me feel confident in introducing myself to my Chinese colleagues after just 30 minutes. I can now pronounce 我喜欢吃面 (I like to eat noodles) with confidence. Amazingly, I learnt the 4 tones without even realizing it—something I had trouble with for over a year! Looking forward to more lessons with her!

I haven't had such fun in an italki Chinese lesson for some time, Ruka was so easy to talk to and so helpful with travel tips for Taiwan as well as for my Chinese speaking skills! 10/10 would recommend :)
