Delal

Exceptionally good lesson. Delal used expressions from the article we were discussing, for me to use them in sentences. As I would not normally speak the way she first suggested , together we adapted the material for sentences I would use in conversation. I appreciated her flexibility. And noticed a lot of mistakes I was making! Very useful lesson. And interesting subject matter. Delal doesn’t give me lesson plans, as she lets me decide what I want to talk about and uses the material I choose and (some of!) the mistakes I make as teaching material. Though this time she gave me some homework: to learn to conjugate a verb I kept getting wrong within the lesson!

I enjoyed the lesson very much. I am a Persian teacher myself and Delal classes are very attractive to me: calming, planned and fun like a spiritual and happy dance. I am happy that my students do not learn Turkish and do not compare me with him as a teacher.

Delal had kindly corrected the writing I sent her before the lesson. As usual we had a spontaneous conversation, which she kept going when necessary with helpful questions. This is the sort of lesson I want, as I want to be able to talk spontaneously to friends. She does correct my grammatical and other mistakes and writes the corrections down for me. Yet another interesting conversation with plenty of material from which I can learn.

As always, Delal takes time to answer my my questions about the homework and then we work together to accomplish the topic. Always so supportive and encouraging! :)

I came very unprepared to the lesson, but Delal had lots of questions to keep me going so we had a great conversation and she filled in many words I needed and didn’t know, as well as explaining and correcting (at least some of!) my mistakes.
