Hello everyone! This is Panos speaking - an experienced Foreign Language tutor with a winning smile! Your go-to teacher for all things Greek language, literature, culture and philosophy. When not buried amygdala-deep in a good book or in front of a screen teaching, you will most likely find me on my longboard cruising around town, bombing (mild) hills and braving new tricks or... at a recording studio preparing the next single with my band 'Rival Sun'.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Greek and English Language and Literature (University of Athens) which qualifies me to teach the aforementioned subjects in mainstream education in Greece. I also hold a Qualified Teacher Status in the UK. Having taught students of all ages, levels and backgrounds for over a decade, I have developed a method that works almost like a panacea with the acquisition of all foreign languages, which is based on the principles of: * Total immersion * Active learning and... * Inductive, interactive delivery as well as... * Gamification * Exposure to Realia and Authentic Material and... * Multi-sensory learning when the topic allows for it!

Together we shall explore the magnificent world of Greek through a wide range of media, including but not limited to videos, songs, articles and literature. Our classes will feel more like hanging out with a friend rather than traditional lessons. There will be constant interaction and many segments of game-based learning. Together we will master a wide range of skills / topics including but not limited to: The Greek Alphabet Survival Greek (for travellers / tourists) Greek Grammar and Vocabulary on topics of interest Creative Writing in Greek (for Advanced learners) Enriching Vocabulary through articles, videos and podcasts Effective long-term memorisation techniques for new words

Qualified Teacher Status QTS - UK Department for Education - 2017The QTS is awarded to applicants who already hold all necessary certificates / degrees that render them eligible to teach in mainstream education in the UK. In my case, my qualifying document was my Bachelor's degree and its official recognition as a teaching certificate for Greek and English in my home country, Greece.
