Stefanos Nikitaras

I have been taking weekly lessons with Stefanos for over a year. He is a great teacher, easy to work with, and our lessons are always enjoyable and educational. Even on the days when I am speaking nonsense Greek (everyday?) and struggling with the topic, Stefanos is engaged and attentive and the lessons are always productive. If you are reading these reviews to help determine if Stefanos is the right teacher for you, I recommend booking a trial lesson now.

I'm a high school English teacher in the U.S., and as such, I have high standards when it comes to teachers. When looking for a Greek instructor, I wanted to make sure I found a teacher whose educational philosophy matches my own. As soon as I started my trial session with Stefano, I knew I'd found the perfect instructor for me; I've now been taking weekly lessons with him since April 2020. Stefano believes in immersion---the more Greek you speak in the lesson and the more ways you can infuse the language into your daily life, the more quickly and adeptly you'll acquire the language. Stefano believes in putting you outside your comfort zone, but he does so thoughtfully and with care because his lessons are highly individualized to your needs and goals. What's more is that he's warm and downright funny - I often can't stop laughing during our lessons - and the rapport you will develop with him makes the lessons that much more engaging and enjoyable. I can't recommend Stefano enough!
