Hello! My name is Noam, and I'm from Vancouver, Canada, and am currently living in France. My personal interests include everything from fitness to classical Greek literature, and I am passionate about hockey as well. I love to talk to people from many different backgrounds, and am very happy to help whomever I can with improving their English!

I've been teaching English for seven years, since graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy. My general teaching style is conversational, as I believe the best way to learn and develop skills is to find and pursue your own personal interests in the topic. You can learn (and more importantly, remember) far more from a conversation about life than from going through a verb conjugations test for the 50th time!
This said, I also absolutely love any opportunity to get into serious English grammar, and I am available to answer any question that a student might have about the language -- from word definitions and the differences between synonyms, to gerunds and adverbs. :)Öğretim materyallerim

TeacherI taught as an Assistant English Teacher in a high school in El Escorial, near Madrid, Spain. It was valuable experience for teaching in a completely foreign environment, with a range of students, some with no English experience and some completely fluent.
2019 - 2021
TutorI taught native English speakers who were having difficulty in middle/high school, due either to environmental challenges or to slight learning disabilities. It was a wonderful experience to learn how to teach kids from different angles, and see how with just the right application of teaching, they could thrive just as much as anyone else.

It was my first lesson on Italki in a long time and it was great! I could understand anything Noam said (it's important because the listening is the hardest part of learning English for me). Also, He gave me so much motivation to continue my path in studiyng English!
