My name is Anna Sofia and I’m from London, UK. I am half English, half Italian and I am an English Teacher and an Opera Singer based in London. I love languages and cultures and I speak Italian and French alongside my native English. I love travelling, especially for my job, and spending my free time doing cultural activities with friends and family, having big Italian dinners and exploring Europe. Teaching is an absolute joy that I love to do because I love sharing my language with new people who want to learn!

I have been teaching English as a Foreign Languge since 2016. I received my CELTA qualification in July 2016 from the University of Cambridge at International House London in July 2016. Since then, I have taught privately in both England and Italy and also for a language school in Bordeaux, France. I love teaching all levels of English from Beginners to Advanced, and I am happy to teach all varieties of English, from General English, Conversational English to Business English and tests/exam preparation. I have experience teaching one-to-one, VIPs, class groups, workshops, school groups, groups of children and team lessons. Teaching for me is a joy and I am always happy to share my language!

My lessons are fun, friendly, interactive and precise and are totally tailored to suit you and your needs. I believe that speaking a foreign language is that best way to learn so I encourage my students to speak a lot in my lessons. In order to help your continued improvement, I set little homework assignments for you to do in your own time. I provide learning tools such as PDFs, text documents, grammar sheets, worksheets and news articles. My first lesson is always all about you to discover your needs and goals. From there, I create a personalised course of lessons just for you. I speak with British English accent but I am happy to teach all types of English!

I really enjoy having lessons with Anna Sofia. The atmosphere is always relaxed and the topics of conversation interesting. I also like that she provides me with written notes/corrections and homework so that I have material to improve and review the lesson :)

I strongly recommend conversational lessons with Anna Sofia, where the teacher is ready to make you speak on topics you are interested in. Moreover, she is always ready to share her own opinion on any topic, which is beneficial for us, English learners in a way that we are familiar with the opinion of a great well-educated British lady/teacher. Anna Sofia is very attentive to your personal interests and preferences, giving you additional materials to work at home and speak about in class. There is always a five minute part of useful feedback at the end of each lesson, where your slight mistakes in grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation are discussed in a friendly manner.

For now I only had a Trial Lesson, but I'm sure for 100000% it won't be my last lesson with Anna Sofia! I really enjoyed it, and I'm happy to recommend it ;)
