Originally from Menton, a picturesque town in southern France near the Italian border, I spent a decade in Paris before embarking on international travels. Now based in Manchester, I bring a global perspective to French language instruction. Certified by the Alliance Française—a globally recognised institution for French language education since 1883—I have been teaching French online full-time since 2018. With over 6,000 hours of instruction delivered to 700+ students, I combine rigorous methodology with cultural insights to make learning both effective and engaging.Öğretmen Olarak Ben
Even though we will never shy away from discussing grammar, we will always keep in mind that it’s just a tool for you to use, to be able to express yourself. As a result, everything we do together will work towards acquiring new skills, things you can use in the real world.

You have a choice between 3 options:
• Structured lessons: just like a class at the Alliance-Française, but a lot more personal, and in the comfort of your own home. We will use colourful, modern textbooks that include audio, videos and interactive exercises. The goal here is to gain new tools and train together on using them at the right time! Each and every lesson includes reading, writing, listening and talking.
• Conversation Practice: time to practice! We can talk about day-to-day life, any subject that interest you, or use articles or videos as conversation starters.

Raphaël is great. He's quite attuned, so even when I hit a roadblock with the language, conversation feels easy. One of my goals is to be able to enjoy films and TV. He gave me a YouTube video to watch and then discuss at the next lesson. The video was the perfect length and level to push me towards better comprehension of more complex and informal media.

Raphaël has a wonderful approach to teaching. He uses a textbook and provides a very structured environment to ensure the student actually understands what they are learning. He helps you get the details right as you learn but also provides tips and guidance on focusing on the things you do know for real-world situations. Working with him already relives much stress and makes me feel that I can learn French!
