I am very creative and a little bit crazy! I write stories, make podcasts and videos, and love teaching. I believe anyone can learn a language, and I’m here to help you do it the fun way. Please note: * When my schedule is full, I will stop accepting classes from new students. You can check back to see if I'm taking on new students again. * If I have two classes back-to-back I may need to finish early to have a small break between classes. * You can cancel or reschedule a class up to 48 hours in advance. After that, you will not be refunded.

I was very lucky to have kind, patient language teachers at school. Based on my experiences, I want to make the classroom a fun, comfortable environment for you. I have a strong theoretical knowledge of language learning from studying linguistics at university. I read the latest research on language learning so that I can teach as well as possible. Based on this research, I don't do traditional grammar and vocabulary exercises in class. You can study vocabulary and grammar for hours, but you won't be able to use them naturally in conversation. What you need is to hear and read lots of language that you understand (comprehensible input). So my classes focus on giving you lots of this.

We will write stories together. You give the ideas, I adapt it to your level. You'll have so much fun you forget you're learning! After the class, you can reread the stories and do exercises based on them as homework. We can also use stories from my podcast, Easy Stories in English. For example, I will present a story in simple language to you during class, and then you can read the full story yourself for homework. Then we can discuss it together. Or we can discuss TV shows, films, music and other things that you like. I love learning about my students' interests and lives and discussing them together.

Spending an hour with Ariel can feel like 10 mins! Personally, It doesn’t take long to warm up to our discussion — it’s so fun, organic and easygoing. Ariel is a good storyteller and have a lot to share about British culture. Next time is IELTS yeahhh!
