Hello! I'm an experienced ESL teacher, with a passion for travel. I've worked in education for 10+ years now, within 4 countries, and I have degrees in Social Work and Psychology, as well as certificates in TEFL and career counselling. When not teaching I enjoy; experiencing culture, travel, cycling, long walks, reading, social sciences, and playing video games. I'm open to discussing any topic which may interest you. I struggled learning English as a child. When I was 6, I spent the entire 1st grade in "grade language". I fully understand the challenges and frustrations to learning English. Since then, I've tutored many students 1-on-1 and taught English in both South Korea and Japan. I aspire to engage in informal conversation with students, and/or assisting where its needed (with interview practice, cover letter/resume writing, phonics assistance, etc.). Through an initial needs assessment, we can structure a program (or not) which you will benefit from. But I stress the "we" here. We will work together. As every learner is different, I don't believe in a generic lesson template. We will start with a needs assessment (where I assess your English related history and goals), and go from there. I think it's best to tailor lessons to the individual learner. We can create a structured plan together if needed. *I do not offer pre-structured lesson plans.* We may engage in; informal conversation, guidance with texts you've written, assistance with pronunciation and/or phonics, interviewing skills development, resume and/or cover letter writing, and/or prepare material within a particular area, which you expressed a need for, prior to your lesson. Simply put, we work at your speed and comfort. :)5.0

I've had over 20 lessons with Dustin and I liked every one of them. You can talk about everething from describing how you brush your teeth to preparing for a job interview. Even if you don't know what to talk about, Dustin is sure to engage you with an interesting topic. It is very easy to talk with him and overall experience is relaxed.
Also, Dustin's remarks are onpoint and he is able to write everything you are saying and make complete analysis of it. Thanks to Dustin, I came prepared for my first international interview. I'm really happy with the results and I recommend Dustin to everyone.
