Hi, I'm Katie! I am a Professional Teacher online/offline. I have a degree in Elementary + Special Education and I'm TEFL certified. I used to teach Middle School, and I've been teaching English as a Foreign Language for more than 7 years.
I coach professionals who want to feel free, relaxed, and confident communicating in English so they can speak up at work and in meetings with confidence, start new opportunities without doubting themselves, enjoy traveling and making new friends without stress, and reach their life goals using English!

English should be enjoyable, not stressful, and I'll help you feel more comfortable being yourself in English. After teaching for more than 10 years, I know which strategies and resources are effective, and I will coach, motivate, and help you grow as a person while reaching your English goals.

My lessons are great for people who already know some English, but want to unblock their speaking and take their confidence to the next level. Each lesson will be personalized and based on your interests and goals.
But if you really want to see your progress, I recommend that you make some time for English between lessons! Before our lesson, I'll send you an article/video for us to discuss together. Even though we will focus primarily on speaking, we will work on new expressions, vocabulary, grammar, and exercises in pronunciation so you feel more confident and prepared to speak as naturally and accurately as possible.Öğretim materyallerim

Teaching IELTS Exam Prep - Bridge TEFL - 2022In this Teaching IELTS course, trainees gain a comprehensive understanding of the IELTS exam, including the scoring criteria and question types. The course suggests ways for teaching both general and IELTS specific test-taking strategies. In the final sections, I was required to find practical suggestions for teaching students how to succeed on all of the four components of the test. To complete the course, there was a final project, discussions, readings, and quizzes to complete.

Professional Experience - American Language Center & Freelance - 2020I've completed more than 100 lessons of 60 to 90 minutes each helping students prepare for language exams including IELTS, TOEFL, PET, KET, and translation exams. This experience shows that I can help students successfully navigate the format of these different exams, develop the listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills they need, and develop the strategies necessary to successfully attain the scores they need.

TEFL Certificate - Via Lingua International - 2016I received this certificate after a four week course at the institute in Florence, Italy. The course was 120 hours and consisted of daily teaching practice and feedback, a one to one student project, lesson design, a grammar examination, and culture studies. I highly reccomand Katie. I was (and I'm currently) able to detect every single improvement I had since the beginning, thanks to the experties she has when she choose both our lesson's topics (so interesting) and the exersises . Lessons with my teacher are very inspiring and fit my needs. I thinks that she knows exactly what helps me to improve my English and what I enjoy about learning English.
