Hello everyone! My name is Amélie, and I am a comparative literature student at the University of Montreal. As of fall 2025, I have completed a masters degree in comparative literature. I am a very curious and passionate person, and I have many interests, such as languages, literature, linguistics, cinema, travelling, and more! If I had to describe myself in two words, it would be culture vulture! My approach is inclusive : I welcome all students (safe space for my fellow queer folks!), from absolute beginner to native speakers who want help writing essays or preparing for a test! I am also open to language exchange for speakers of Arabic or Persian.

I have been teaching for four years now, and have worked with immigrants in french teaching projects for the city of Montreal. As a hyperpolyglot, I am an expert in learning languages and can give tips that have worked for me. My passion for literature and languages greatly transpires in my teaching.

I am an extremely open minded tutor, and I will not hesitate to build a class from scratch for students with specific objectives. My philosophy in language learning is to associate the language you are learning with positive experiences. For example, a conversation about themes you are passionate about, an interest in culture, a fun travelling experience, or simply a book or movie you love. I assure you, I will talk about anything and everything! Furthermore, as an experienced language learner, I have tricks to make language learning a habit that motivates you and helps you attain your goals.
