Traveling, dancing, language-learning. Three things I can't imagine myself without. I've traveled to most of Europe and dreaming of traveling the rest of the world. I've been a ballet and contemporary dancer for over 20 years. I've studied English, which is my passion, and am currently learning Italian. I also know some German and Spanish. My dream is to fluently speak all these languages (and why not even more!)

I've been a teacher and have been learning different languages for many years, so I'm very familiar with how languages, grammar and linguistics work. I've been told that I explain things very well, and to be honest I love finding (and sharing!) different tricks and tips on how to break down a grammar phenomenon or a new word and remember it easily. I also LOVE sharing fun details about the Greek culture, so I believe I'm the Greek you'd love to have for your Greek lessons!

When agreed upon, I use either textbooks, articles of general interest or different topics as prompts for discussion. Every single new word we come across or is mentioned in the lesson is noted down by me on a digital notebook or in our chat and you don't necessarily have to do anything during the lesson. I love explaining derivatives, etymology or even the (hi)story behind the words! (Greek words have that...)

I had another exceptional lesson with Maria! We discussed a paragraph about the weather. Maria always includes a substantial amount of practice in our lessons which helps me greatly!

Maria is such a wonderful teacher! Her lessons are so organised and her knowledge of the Greek language is exact! And she speaks so much Greek to me, even if I stare at her blankly, I know it's going in! ;)
