I have a experience as Korean teacher in Australia for a year.
That time Firstly I was explained about Korean culture or music something like that
If they were interested in one of topic, I easily taught them grammar, words, or expressions
while talking about that. Through this way, they get a confidence

丁寧で忍耐強い先生です。雰囲気もよく、楽しく会話ができました。まだまだ初心者で言葉が出てこない私の発話もしっかり待ってくれたり、言い淀んだセリフはチャットで文字起こししてくれました。これから先は長いけど、続けて練習して簡単な会話はできるようにがんばります！
