I've spent most of my life in the US, but I did live in Sapporo, Japan for 3 years and taught English at some English conversation schools there. I returned to the US in 2017 and have continued English tutoring online. I also continue studying Japanese as much as I can. Some of my interests include yoga, walking, travel, coffee, cooking, and learning new things. I played the flute for many years during my student days, so I'm familiar with music theory terminology.

I think I would be a suitable tutor for intermediate and advanced English learners. While we're chatting, I can type corrections and suggestions in the chat box for how to speak better. If you need me to speak slower or repeat myself, please don't hesitate to ask. Don't worry if you make a mistake or don't know how to properly express yourself. I want students to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves while practicing!

*Please look at the class descriptions for more details about my lessons* I encourage you to prepare your own topic, but I can choose a topic if you'd prefer. I can correct your pronunciation and explain unclear words and phrases. Most of my students want to read internet articles. I can also proofread short documents such as e-mails and speeches, or maybe you would like to practice for an upcoming presentation. Please let me know what you would like to do.
