I’m a native German speaker from the north of Germany and now live in Cornwall, UK. I love travelling, languages, different cultures, good food, and walking my Border Collie on the beach. Before moving to England, I lived in Switzerland, Italy and Spain, and spent a year in Australia after university. I’ve been teaching German since 2012 to students of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to C2 and exam prep. I know how challenging learning a language can be, as I’ve been there myself. My lessons are relaxed and tailored to you, using a mix of materials to keep things interesting, practical and fun. I really enjoy teaching German and seeing my students progress. I have been teaching German since 2012 and my students are all ages and levels. From complete beginners to C2 students, and from those preparing for an exam to those who would just like to learn a few sentences before their holidays. I am very flexible and friendly, and I understand completely how difficult it can be to learn a new language - I have been there myself. In 2019, I completed the Level 3 Award in Adult Education and Training to give me additional knowledge about all elements of teaching students who are 16 years and older. I also offer online lessons for children who are 10 years and older. Just had my first lesson with Britta. She is definitely what I'm looking for in a tutor to improve my German! The lesson was structured with helpful materials. She is very knowledgeable, and she gives helpful feedback with concrete explanations.

Britta is a wonderful teacher. She has been my daughter's teacher for the best part of four years now and my daughter has continually made great progress, regularly topping her class in German. The extra practice each week, invaluable. Importantly, Brittany has helped maintain the motivation. Never easy with teenagers, even less easy with German. Moreover, Britta has been really easy to work with, flexible, accessible and with excellent communication. We've never had an issue. A rare gem of a teacher. Thanks, Britta, for everything!

Britta is an excellent teacher. She and our daughter have worked together for three years now with wonderful results. Most recently with our daughter attaining an A+ grade in both spoken and written German in her end of year exams. The weekly lessons with Britta have made all the difference to school without overly adding to her homework workload.
