Hi! I’m Shimei van der Walt, a bilingual English teacher from South Africa, where 11 languages weave our vibrant culture. Learning English doesn’t have to be boring—actually, it can be a whole lot of fun! As a teacher, I love turning lessons into something exciting and interactive. Forget just reading from textbooks and filling out worksheets—we get creative, play with the language, and make it come alive! Over the years, I’ve picked up loads of handy tips and tricks that have helped my students feel more confident and enjoy the process. With experience teaching everyone from tiny preschoolers to lifelong learners, I’ve worked with students across the globe—from Russia and China to the UK, Vietnam, Australia, and beyond.
