I am a Texas native living in Portland, Oregon. I've spent most of my life in various cities in Texas, but I have also lived in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. Beautiful Oregon has been my home for four years now.
I'm a licensed attorney in Oregon, having received my JD from the George Washington Law School in Washington, DC.
I have a masters degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Portland State University. In this program I have studied advanced English grammar and phonology. I also have gotten up to date with the field of Second Language Acquisition, research methodology, and modern language pedagogy.

I will customize the activities of the class based on your goals and learning needs. We will spend part of every class interacting freely in English. I will give you written notes afterwards and we will review prior material at the beginning of class.
My own goal is for every student to be able to interact effectively in English both in speech and writing.

Academic English
This class is for current and future students in English-language academic programs. We will focus on the skills required to excel in your academic writing and reading.
Advancing in English
This is my general class meant for students at the intermediate (B1-B2) to advanced (C1-C2) levels. I will teach useful grammar and pronunciation skills so that you can express yourself as a proficient, educated speaker of English.
American Legal English

David is a great teacher! Highly recommend him as a tutor.
Lessons are interesting, productive, and fun. I really don't feel time as I am so involved in the lesson.
Personally, I fell that he has a vast experience in language learning (check the languages in his profile! wow!). I think that it helps a lot as he knows all the challenges which we are facing.
Moreover, David is an incredibly smart person. It is such a delight to speak with him!
