My name is Luca, and I am a certified and experienced German teacher (DaF/DaZ). I studied teaching and piano/composition. I would love to teach you not only how useful is to know German but also how beautiful this language is. "Die Sprache der Dichter und Denker". I have lived in Germany, the US, Italy, and Russia, so I can give you helpful translations into German, English and Italian if you need. Teaching is a vocation; I love doing it and I am looking forward to getting to know you better and share with you this complex but at the same time wonderful travel that will bring you to the goal of master German. I am a very patient and easy-going teacher. In my class mistakes are very welcomed because only through them, we can learn in life. I adapt my teaching to the student because everyone is unique, the learner has his own tempo and there are different types of learners like auditive, visual and kinesthetic ones. First, I want to know the student better, what he likes and then I will design the perfect lesson for him or her where boredom will be just an old memory.

Grammar is important but it is not the goal of a lesson, the goal is that you can speak German, grammar must help you to master that. I work with “Redewendungen”, these are chunks that allow you to be fluent and speak like a native speaker. Learning grammar is a cognitive process, Redewendungen belong to a metacognitive process, I mean that you will learn to use them without thinking about them, it will happen automatically. All the aspects or learning a language are present in my class: reading, writing, hearing, speaking, pronunciation, melody in a sentence, intonation. You will decide what kind of lesson you are going to have, learning a language must be fun.
