Another very helpful chat with Danny. She helps me keep contact with the language and culture even when I'm not studying much. Now I'm studying a little more I notice the lessons are even more helpful and am excited that this might be the year things finally start to come together. Chinese is not easy so it's great to have found a teacher who can adapt to my preferred relaxed learning style.

the reason i say this is rather than rushing into saying words first a foundation is built via breaking down the sounds within words to their smallest components
