I grew up near Washington, DC, and was later raised overseas in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, returning back to the United States from 5th grade thru my Master's Degree. I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve all over the world in the United States Navy for 24 years, and after retirement serving 4 years on the mission field in Haïti. My family now lives in Kentucky and I am enjoying being a life-long learner as well as a teacher!Öğretmen Olarak Ben
I love teaching English to students of all ages and backgrounds. I have been teaching English on iTalki since October 2019.
Previously, I was an English Professor in Haïti for 4 years teaching medical terminology for nurses and laboratory technicians, developing professional leaders in financial and personnel management, recording English and Kreyol lessons on the public radio, and relaxed by training wild horses.
I have always been a type of teacher that enjoys encouraging my students to utilize their individual gifts and learning style to become dynamic English speakers and reach their full potential. Derslerim ve öğretme tarzım
To discover your language level, we will talk about your future plans involving English. It is important to first learn English topics that get you excited to want to continue to learn. For example, if you are an engineer, let's build a project with words. Or if you love medicine, let's talk through a surgical procedure or how to fill out a medical form. If applying for a job and need interviewing skills, we can discuss how to stand apart from your workforce competition. We can read a book!! We shall find the best way to grow your skills.
