I honestly didn’t expect to learn this much this quickly. In just 10 minutes, Shinnie explained concepts more clearly than weeks of official study material ever managed to. He was incredibly patient, understanding, and encouraging — especially when I got overwhelmed or struggled with pronunciation/reading. Instead of making me feel lost, he broke things down in a way that finally clicked. For the first time since starting Korean, I actually feel hopeful and excited about learning the language. If you’re looking for a tutor who is knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely gifted at teaching, I cannot recommend him enough.

I wholeheartedly recommend classes with Shinnie to anyone serious about leveling up their Korean. After learning some very essential grammar concepts from Shinnie I started wondering - How did I study Korean for years and years without ever learning this before? Did I forget it all? I was so perplexed by this that I even went back and checked all my prior notes and textbooks and saw that it wasn’t there at all. It became clear that this was a Shinnie-specific strategy not covered in popular websites and books, despite being so fundamental to learning Korean. Shinnie uses a totally different approach from all the rest and it has been a huge help!

I’ve really been enjoying learning with Shinnie. He’s put a lot of emphasis on grammar, which has helped me a lot. We also don’t just focus on basic words, he teaches a mix of essential words, very precise vocabulary, natural expressions and slang, regardless of my level. He's giving the vocab to allow me to express my thoughts accurately. I’ve started noticing how much I’ve learned when watching Korean podcasts, I can recognise and recognise so much of the vocab we've learned. He's teaching ways to recognise words independently with characters Lessons are demanding and full of material.

시니 씨, 1년 동안 가르쳐 주셔서 감사합니다. 많은 선생님을 만나고 책과 앱도 사용해 봤지만 100% 솔직하고 전략적으로 가르치는 선생님은 시니 쌤밖에 없어요. 사실, 선생님을 만나기 전에 다른 선생님과 열심히 공부하고 디스코드라는 앱에서 한국어를 써 봤지만 못 한다고 욕을 많이 먹었습니다. 하지만, 시니 씨 선생님 덕분에 거의 1년밖에 공부 안 했는데도 7년 동안 한국어 공부한 사람보다 더 잘 한다는 말을 들었어요. 그것도 한국에서 한국 사람들한테 들었어요. 시니 선생님은 13년간 개발해 온 백과사전이 있어서 모든 사람들에게 가장 중요하지만 가장 헷갈리는 문법이랑 단어를 먼저 가르쳐 주시고 말하기, 듣기, 쓰기, 읽기, 여행, 음식, 영화, 게임, 정치, 경제, 토픽 시험 등 모든 주제를 그 자리에서 바로 가르칠 수 있어요. 선생님이 저한테 한국 사람이 가장 많이 쓰는 마스터 문법 10개를 가르쳐 주셨고 그 이후에는 선생님 없이도 모든 문법을 저 혼자서 공부할 수 있었어요. 그래서 수업 안 할 때는 혼자 문법을 외우면서 문장을 만들고 수업할 때는 항상 새로운 주제로 원어민처럼 연습하고 잘못된 정보와 나쁜 습관을 수정하는 것에만 집중할 수 있었어요. 그래서 이렇게 다른 사람들보다 더 빨리 공부할 수 있었던 것 같아요. 결과적으로, 열심히 수업하다 보니 한국 사람들을 만날 때마다 긴장하지 않고 유창하게 대화할 수 있게 됐어요. 그리고, 저는 올해 6월 14일부터 7월 6일까지 한국에서 뜻깊고 즐거운 여행을 했어요. 작년에 선생님을 만나지 않았더라면 올해 한국 여행했을 때 즐거운 추억을 쌓지 못 했을 거예요. 특히, 한국에서 택시를 탔을 때마다 택시 기사님이랑 다양한 주제에 대해 이야기를 했어요. 한국어를 어떻게 잘 하게 됐는지, 한국 생활은 어떤지, 역사에 대해 어떻게 생각하는지에 대해 이야기했어요. 선생님! 감사합니다! 저는 세계적으로 한국어를 제일 잘하는 외국인이 되고 선생님에게 자랑스러운 학생이 될게요. 앞으로도 잘 부탁드립니다. 열심히 하겠습니다.
