Hello, My name is Julika. I grew up in Tübingen south of Stuttgart. I soon discovered my passion for languages and other cultures. I chose French as my first foreign language, English as my second one. I lived in different places in France and Germany (Tübingen, Lyon, Lille, Erlangen, Saarbrücken, Metz, Ratzeburg, Esslingen). In 2018, I finally came (back) to Erlangen (north of Nürnberg) where I live now. I love to discover new places and to get to know people from all over the world.

- I started teaching German conversation to students in France in 2002 - In 2006 I began to teach German and French to groups of teenagers and young adults (tandem method) - I give private lessons in French and German since 2007 - I started teaching German as well as reading and writing the ABC to refugees in 2014 - I tought French to university students in economic sciences - I currently teach German to mothers with small children as well as foreign engineers

I always start with learning about your needs and goals. I will adapt my methods to these needs and find a motivating and fun way for you to learn. Textbook exercises are helpful, but I also like to work with "real life" authentic material. If you are up for the challenge... it is absolutely possible to do the lessons in German only (or French only) from day one. Also for absolute beginners. If you know somebody who never learned reading or writing the abc... I can teach language while introducing and practicing the latin alphabet.

Julika is a very engaged, supportive and helpful teacher. I like her approach to learning new words - she comes back to our previous notes in a shared doc to check and use previously learnt words in a conversation. It’s very important for me.
