Mika

My first class with Mika san was great. I did not know what to expect because it was my first time doing a one on one lesson. She quickly was able to grasp my level (I'm not starting at zero Japanese, but still a beginner), then she gave me an easy lesson. She adapted it and gave me harder words to challenge me. The best part is the feedback from someone who speaks the language natively. I used やほー for hello, but then she gave context on who would use that word (like age and gender). It gives clarity on when and where to use certain words.

Mika san was wonderful to talk to. She was very patient with me and made sure that I was following along during our conversation. みかせんせいのレッスンはたのしかったです。

Awesome person that really listens and guides and makes you feel comfortable. I get nervous speaking and she is incredibly patient and supportive while I find words and ask questions. Really appreciate her teaching style!

I am interested in learning business Japanese so I booked a lesson with Mika sensei. She explained to me why it's so important. She gave real life examples and quizzed me a bit about the keigo in them. I also learned some new business terms right away, so it was a very useful lesson.
