When I was growing up I dreaded having to study foreign languages in school. Growing up in the US we were required to take Spanish classes in high school. The different sentence structure was confusing, and it seemed impossible to learn so many new words fast enough to keep up with the rest of the class. I did not enjoy foreign languages and told myself that I just couldn't learn another language. That was until I first came to Italy and badly wanted to learn Italian. I started trying every way possible with apps, classes, and online content made by teachers to try to learn. I learned it was not impossible to learn a new language!
