Hello everyone! My name is Erlenzi Quintero Aguilar. I view myself as idealistic, creative, and passionate about my profession. I would also use these words to describe my approach towards learning in general. As I have grown as a professional over the past 10 years, I have learnt new things every day. I have long professional experience in planning lessons based on the interests of each particular student, and in crafting lessons according to their academic level and age. In every lesson I seek to elicit the student’s trust and enjoyment, because these are necessary factors in making the learning process pleasurable and motivating. My experience as both a teacher and a student have allowed me to understand that real learning is found when there is interest, enjoyment, and practical application. My teaching style is informed by the work of Professor Stephen Krashen on second language acquisition, especially regarding the importance to the student of receiving input that is relevant. The learner of a language must be exposed to it, fresh and new, as if he were a beginner swimmer and the language were water. For this reason I look to the learner himself to find themes, and then I design attractive activities to provide an immersion that is meaningful. Apprised of the person’s interests, experiences, and preferred learning style, I try to keep their motivations as high as possible.Öğretim materyallerim
