Catherine is a wonderful Mandarin teacher. She is very encouraging and supportive. I never feel nervous about learning Mandarin with her because she is very patient and calmly helps me make corrections when I speak. Also, each lesson with her is very fun. She puts a lot of effort into tailoring each lesson to my specific needs and goals. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a Mandarin teacher that cares about your success.

I bought a 5-lesson package to learn Chinese characters from scratch. The first two lessons were quite confusing, and although the last ones showed some improvement, I still felt there was a lack of clear structure and method. It seems the teacher is still exploring how to best deliver lessons online. Unfortunately, this approach didn’t really work for me, and I didn’t feel I gained much from the lessons. I’d recommend taking a trial lesson first to see if the teaching style fits your learning needs.

Catherine is a fun and responsible teacher, she gives me a lot of material during and after class.
