My teaching journey began in 1984 with foundational training (e.g., Berlitz). Over the decades, I have critically adapted and blended diverse, effective methods. I have also studied French (C1), German (B1), and Italian myself, experiencing the learning journey firsthand. Proficiency Translation Certificate CEFR 2 - Cambridge University UK - 1989This was an optional, additional part of the Cambridge Proficiency exam; it awarded an additional certificate in Translation from and into English (Portuguese<>English). It involved translating C2 level texts in English and Portuguese without recourse to dictionaries. Different language pairs were offered each year. Due to an utter lack of candidates for this additional part of the Proficiency exam, the translation exam was discontinued shortly after the turn of the millennium.
