Oi, I'm Jefferson! I'm a certified Brazilian Portuguese teacher with 5 years of experience teaching both face-to-face and online classes from my home base in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 🇧🇷

Having graduated from university in 2019, I embarked on a fulfilling journey in the education field, specializing in language teaching. Over the past 5 years, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of students, teaching both Portuguese and English in various settings. I've gained valuable experience teaching face-to-face classes in public and private schools in Rio de Janeiro, and have also had the opportunity to teach Portuguese to foreigners and English to Brazilians through online platforms. Having Portuguese classes with Jeff is always such a treat. I love his grammar classes because he's always ready with helpful materials for us to practice, both before and during the class. Jeff's incredibly patient and has an eye for detail. He's awesome at gently correcting my pronunciation too. Plus, he's super flexible, shaping the class to fit my exact needs. Really looking forward to catching up with him next year!

Jefferson is truly and incredible teacher! I recently completed my 100th lesson with him and feel so grateful for his expertise and patience. I meet with him 3 times a week and always find myself smiling after the lessons because he finds a way to make learning a new language fun! He’s brilliant as a professor, creative in his materials, and always happy to adjust to my season of life. I can’t recommend him enough. Obrigada, Jefferson!!

I highly recommend anyone planning to take the Celpe-Bras to take courses with Jefferson! The lessons and the short homework assignments have been extremely helpful, and he knows exactly how to prepare you for the exam. Jefferson uses real material from past Celpe-Bras exams, and focuses on the skills and parts of the exams you want to improve on.
